DIREKTESPORT: The Local Streaming Service
Amedia wanted to find a way for Direktesport to become the local hero in a jungle of independent brands.
6,000 Matches a Year
A few years ago, Amedia launched a digital sports-focused alternative to traditional media outlets. The initiative was named Direktesport and has experienced impressive growth since its launch. Built on top of Amedia’s 72 local newspapers, the media group has created a shared digital streaming platform featuring up to 6,000 matches and live events every year.
Direktesport – The Local Hero
Amedia wanted to find a solution that would position Direktesport as the local hero within a landscape of independent brands. Each of the 72 local editorial teams has its own logo, many of them unchanged for decades and finding a visual identity that everyone could relate to and embrace as their own was no small challenge.
